Leather Care

What to do when your leather gets wet.

If your leather accidentally gets wet, blot it dry with a towel or hold it in front of a fan but do not use heat. Heat can cause the leather to shrink and crack. Apply a leather conditioner to help keep the leather smooth and from getting moldy or from cracking.

Leather is like our own skin.

Do not keep your leather out in the sun for too long, this will prevent your leather from drying out and shrinking. Keep it also away from other heat sources to help prevent this and keep your leather moisturized. Keep your leather also away from chemicals like bleach, alcohol, or silicone. These chemicals will keep your leather from breathing and will cause it to become brittle and fall apart.

What about scratches?

Scratches and scuffs are inevitable but they add so much character. Yes, you might be able to buff some of it out but for the most likely they will stay visible. We like to see them as part of the uniqueness and make it truly that one of a kind product.

What products can I use to take care of leather?

There are many different kinds of leather care products available and on the market. One of our favorites that we use is natural beeswax.
